home Managing your management accounts (Series 4 – Show 2)
Many business owners don’t know how much profit or loss has been made until months after the end of the financial year and often, cash isn’t properly accounted for until there’s a crisis. In this week’s show we’re talking about Managing your management accounts.
Julie’s guests this week are:
- Julia Chanteray is a regular guest on Business as Usual. She is the founder and owner of The Joy of Business and helps small businesses develop, using her years of experience running successful, profitable businesses. Julia was the ‘expert in residence’ on Channel 4’s Risking It All programme.
- Paula Tomlison trained as a chartered accountant in the city of London and then went to work for KPMG, one of the largest accountancy firms in the country. She has recently set up On The Spot Tax, a service supporting small businesses across Sussex.
- Paul Jordan is a member of the team at Sussex Innovation Centre. Paul is a ‘recycled bank manager’. He left banking in 2000 and since then has been involved in finding grants for entrepreneurs, undertaking research and development, or expansion. He works regularly for Business Link on their small business review products.
Please note: the information sheet mentioned in the show is currently in production. It will be available shortly.
